Forest Lava Flow Aug 8 09

Once again, one of the lava tubes on Kilauea became blocked and the lava was forced to the surface. These clips show the surface flows going through a forest of very large trees in an undeveloped area of the Royal Gardens subdivision. This forest had a large number of huge mango trees and appeared to have been an old settlement as there were rock walls and sea shells in the area.
