🌲acting Chekhov ❊ "I AM A SEAGULL"

Juliet in "R & J" & Nina in "The Seagull" are the two most difficult roles a young actress will ever encounter. Here, actress Sydney Berk is just starting to find her way with the text. I've edited my session with her in The Workroom with moments from Blythe Danner's performance of the role, at The Williamstown Theatre Festival, which was filmed for PBS' "Great Performances" series. For my money, Blythe's Nina remains the definitive version of the role, her acting explosive, modern & deeply moving.
