Rupert Soskin and a Neolithic skull.

#shorts #prehistory

This clip from our forthcoming film 'Long Barrows of the Cotswolds' was filmed in the Cotswolds archaeology repository building through the kind assistance of Kath Walker at the Corinium Museum, Cirencester.

Rupert holds in his hands the skull of the 'Flint Knapper' - from the only full skeleton retrieved from Hazeleton North Long Barrow in the early 1980s. Hazleton North recently became famous for being the fist burial to display evidence of family hierarchies and elite groups in the Neolithic through recent DNA testing.

Lots of work to be done still and I don't think the film will be released until 2023 now. Thank you for your patience!
