My girls said the shower was draining slow. How was it draining at all?! So a little backstory here, we had lived in the house for 2 years and when I bought it it had been a rental home for many years. I'm guessing by the size of the clog no one ever cleaned the drains. I didn't have gloves on because I wasn't expecting that massive clog of hair because the water was still draining. I had to grab it because it was about to slide back down the drain. but don't worry, hands are easily washable with soap and water.
