Welcome to Mean's Woodshop! My mom asked me if I could repair this old shoe shiners box for her, but on one condition, I had to keep it looking aged and rustic. I usually only build things, so this was a fun change on pace to work on, and I was very pleased with the end result. However, it wasn't until after I had finished that I realized actual shoe shine boxes have a block and handles on top to actually shine the shoes. It doesn't really matter that it's not on this box, as my mom isn't using it for that.
