live main water shut off replacement

We could not shut off the water at the curb and other than dig up the paved driveway we decided to try this. The basement was unfinished and the drain was right by the valve so a little water on the floor was no big deal. We were expecting higher pressure then what we got. If doing this in a finished space I would lay vapour barrier on floor,up walls and around work space. put heavy towels down to soak up water. From the time of cut to Sharkbite install could be 5sec or less. I'm not suggesting you do it but thats what I would do.
