Two assassination attempts on Bat Masterson's life in Dodge City
The wild west was a dangerous place for lawmen, and Dodge City was no exception. Three lawmen would be murdered in Dodge City during its wild west days: Ed Masterson, Harry McCarty, and Tom Nixon. Close calls with death was the norm in wild west towns, and Bat Masterson survived two assassination attempts while in Dodge City. This is the story of those two assassination attempts on Bat Masterson's life while he was in Dodge City.
