ALASKA WINTER // Brutal COLD Snap & what it's like to live OFF GRID in Alaska

It's hard to get motivated to go to the OUTHOUSE, haul water, feed the dog, or anything else outside when it hits -25 F.
We got pretty cooped up inside over the past couple weeks due to the cold snap we got here in Alaska. Sometimes it's just a semi-local cold snap, but this one that hit Alaska this January seemed to affect everyone from Kodiak to Phrudoe Bay! We didn't even have it as bad as some folks in the city BUT...BUT, we don't have fancy natural gas, or propane heat. We are going through our firewood like crazy!!!!
