📝Ingredients📝
3 kg Chicken (Whole chicken cut in small pieces / Whole legs cut in half / Drumsticks)
1.5 tbsp Red Chili Powder
1 tbsp Cumin Powder
1 tbsp Coriander Powder
1 tbsp Carom seeds or Ajwain
Salt to Taste
3 tbsp Ginger / Garlic Paste
5 tbsp Lemon Juice
👨‍🍳Directions👨‍🍳
- Clean and wash chicken (preferably skin off)
- Add red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, carom seeds, and salt
- Add ginger / garlic paste, lemon juice, and mix well
- Marinate and refrigerate for 2-4 hours or overnight
- Place chicken on a baking pan (with added grill in between chicken and pan base to keep the chicken raised
- Add water for steaming
- Pre-heat oven at 350F or 175F
- Cover with aluminum foil, and place the tray into the oven
- Cook for about 2 hours
- Make sure to change chicken sides half way through cooking
- Take the tray out of the oven, and be cautious of the hot steam while removing the aluminum foil
- Chicken Steam Roast is Ready.
- It can be served with Naan, or Roti, or even with Coleslaw or salad
- Enjoy!
