Tu-95MS/Tu-95MS6/Tu-95MS16: It is the only propeller-powered strategic bomber still in operational use today and unique as a propeller-driven aircraft with swept wings that has been built in large numbers. Completely new cruise missile carrier platform based on the Tu-142 airframe. This variant became the launch platform of the Raduga Kh-55 cruise missile and put into serial production in 1981. Known to NATO as the Bear-H and was referred to by the U.S. military as a Tu-142 for some time in the 1980s before its true designation became known. Currently being modernized to carry the Kh-101/102 stealth cruise missiles. 21 aircraft have been modernized as of April 2019. In 2019-2020, 10 modernized Tu-95MS aircraft have joined the Fleet. 4 aircraft were delivered in 2021.
Tu-95MSM: Modernization of the "Tu-95MS16" bombers, equipped with the new Novella-NV1.021 radar, SOI-021 information display system, Meteor-NM2 airborne defense complex and upgraded Kuznetsov NK-12MPM turboprop engines. First flight was in 23.08.2020.
Ту-95МС (изделие «ВП-021», Ту-95МС-6, Ту-95МС-16), по классификации НАТО Bear-H): Самолёты-носители крылатых ракет Х-55 (1979 год и позже). Создан на базе Ту-142МК. Шесть машин производства завода № 86 (переделаны из Ту-142М?), остальные строились с нуля на заводе № 18. Последняя серийная машина зав. № 1000214137566 построена 20 августа 1992 года.
Ту-95МСМ: Модернизация Ту-95МС-16 с заменой двигателей на модификацию НК-12МВМ с винтами АВ-60Т. Модернизация БКО («Метеор-НМ2»). Установка новой навигационной вычислительной системы НВС-021М, комплексной системы управления КСУ-021, системы отображения информации СОИ-021, астронавигационной системы АНС-2009, РЛС «Новелла-НВ1.021» . На самолёт возможна внешняя подвеска 8 ракет Х-101 или Х-102. Ту-95МСМ совершил первый полет 23.08.2020.
