Flying a Helicopter into St. Maarten - Communication Breakdown (Flying to Brazil - Part 2)

Come along for the ride on my epic 5,300 nm journey from Mirabel, Canada to Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil in a brand new Bell 505 helicopter. In this leg of the journey, we are on approach into the famous Princess Juliana International Airport in St. Maarten. This was one of the busiest landings that we had on the trip and we had a serious breakdown in communications and intentions during landing. We ended up being stuck at the far end of the airport away from all services without being able to do anything about it.

Stay tuned for the next episode in the series where we try and take off for St. Lucia in the same day in order to make it into the island before nightfall.
