National Swine Resource & Research Center

The National Swine Resource and Research Center (NSRRC) at the University of Missouri was established in 2003. NSRRC has become a crucial source for swine models used by researchers across the United States and other countries to study various diseases that impact humans, including retinitis pigmentosa, spinal muscular atrophy and cystic fibrosis, the most common genetic mutation affecting Caucasian adolescents in North America.

NSRRC is part of the MU Livestock Engineering Team (MULE Team), recognized as a Program of Distinction by the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR).
