Grow native or non-native plants in your garden?

Is it better to grow only native plants? Or are native plants weeds? What is best in your garden? This is my opinion....

Note that I do not mention the risk that non-natives might become invasive. For the vast majority of commonly available garden plants, this is not a serious risk, but some plants imported in the past as ornamentals have done great environmental harm: Rhododendron, himalayan balsam, giant hogweed, Japanese knotweed. Obviously do not cultivate such plants, or bring in new exotic species not commonly cultivated in gardens.
