Everything I purchased for three years (clothing only) | Minimalist wardrobe

I recently shared the lessons I learned from a year of not shopping. Along the way, I determined that, for the three years prior, I purchased a total of 18 items of clothing, so today I thought it would be interesting to share those purchases with you! While this doesn't seem like a lot of clothing relative to what others might buy, it does indicate a fair amount of turnover in my wardrobe percentage wise. What do you think? Does this constitute a lot of purchases for a minimalist wardrobe or only a little?

I made six clothing purchases in 2017, five clothing purchases in 2018, and seven clothing purchases in 2019. At some point in those three years, I also bought three pairs of shoes, two of which were identical replacements for shoes I already owned that wore out. Between November of 2019 to November of 2020, I had a "no buy year" / "no spend year" where I did not buy any clothing (or shoes) and I have continued to not buy clothing as of the time that I am uploading this video.

My style gravitates towards simple, classic pieces. Because I don't participate in trends, I am able to keep my purchases to a minimum and I typically only buy things when my clothing wears out.
