Pakistan Travel Khunjerab Pass to Sost Road trip Gilgit Baltistan Silk Road. I am traveling in Pakistan by road in this video, A road trip from China Pakistan Border Khanjerab pass to Sost Gilgit Baltistan. I want to show you Pakistan from North to South. I am starting my road trip series from China Pakistan border to Karachi Arabian sea. Zero Point Khunjerab Pass to Sost distance is 89 Km. Sost is the last town inside Pakistan on Karakoram highway before the Chinese border. Khunjerab pass elevation is 15397 feet. My entire road trip is on the silk road along the Khunjerab river. Karakoram highway or silk road was completed in 1979. It is also called, the China-Pakistan Friendship Highway, It is a 1,300 km national highway which extends from Hasan Abdal in the Punjab province of Pakistan to the Khunjerab Pass in Gilgit-Baltistan, where it crosses into China and becomes China National Highway 314. The highway connects the Pakistani provinces of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa plus Gilgit-Baltistan with China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. The highway is a popular tourist attraction and is one of the highest paved roads in the world, passing through the Karakoram mountain range, at the maximum elevation of 4,714 m (15,466 ft) near Khunjerab pass. Due to its high elevation and the difficult conditions in which it was constructed, it is often referred to as the Eighth Wonder of the World. The highway is also a part of the Asian Highway AH4. China Pakistan border is a peaceful border of Pakistan instead of other neighbors. this road leads to Misgar Village. Misgar is the last populated village inside Pakistan before China and Afghanistan border. My next video is about this village. Tourists from different parts of the world visit this area. The northern area of Pakistan is beautiful and attractive places to attract local and foreign tourists. Pakistan Govt is also providing good facilities for tourists.
