Craftsman 1/2 HP logic board capacitor installation tip

Explains what needs to be done for replacing old capacitor on the Craftsman/Chamberlain type logic boards. There are many components on these boards and this may or may not be your particular problem. The issue was the remote not working for door opening.

This board that was repaired has the green light indicator light and is considered obsolete. So a simple board swap was not an option.
The options are repair the board, find a used board, or replace the entire unit.
