Editing Details:

I went back and watched Transformers films from the third through the fifth, along with Bumblebee, while also revisiting movies featuring the main actors. That included Mark Wahlberg films like The Family Plan and Father Stu, Shia LaBeouf’s Eagle Eye, and Megan Fox projects such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, Till Death, and The Battle of Jangsari. I also watched a ton of video essays to really understand the franchise’s history, its highs and lows, and why certain movies connected more strongly with audiences.

I begin this time by having Optimus Prime narrate. He talks about the history and then the upcoming threat Unicron. Then we get all the main characters assemble facing Optimus Prime. Primes gets a shining moment this time to see him do his epic Transformation. I end the trailer in epic way teasing the demise of Optimus Prime.

Through that journey, I learned that the first, third, fourth, and Bumblebee films are generally the most successful, with Bumblebee, Transformers 3, and Transformers 4 standing out as my favorites. One thing that always stood out to me is how disappointing it was that Megan Fox never returned in the third movie. Mark Wahlberg is a solid main character, but without Shia and Megan, Transformers just doesn’t hit the same. For this concept, I brought their characters back to work together with the Autobots against Unicron, the ultimate threat of the franchise. I made this trailer as a passion project, hoping it could inspire filmmakers and get fans excited about what Transformers could be at its full potential.
