Liquid Metal Nails | Making A Gallium Nail

In this video I make a nail made out of gallium and see if I can nail it into a piece of wood. I also talk about the cool science behind gallium and why it can be a liquid at room temperature, but also can be a metal that can be nailed into wood. Gallium will induce a structural failure of most metals because it diffuses into the crystal lattice. Also, I talk about the crystal cubic structure of gallium and why it is liquid at room temperature as opposed to a solid like most other metals.
