I do not want this to sound like an advert for this hotel and be all glowing and it is 99% glowing, so let us get started with the bad news and the things that we did not like so much.

As all 5 star resorts around the world and other places that have you captive, the food prices are super high, the food is fantastic but you are really going to pay for it. If you are staying over for a couple of nights as a couple then, of course, you will be cool about this, on the other hand staying longer and as a family then you are going to bash the life out of your credit card to eat and drink. A good idea would to go for an all inclusive deal.

The above is really the only bad side of this resort, lets get into the good and there is plenty of it.
On arrival until we left the staff are super attentive and very helpful, in fact wonderful, all smiles.

Check-in was smooth, the room we had was just wonderful, breakfast was included and was great.
A huge buffet breakfast with all you could want. The egg station is always a good place to look at and the Sofitel have nailed it, poached, scrambled, fried, boiled and of course made to order omelettes. Add to this all the trimmings bacon, sausage,has browns and so on you have all you could want from a cooked breakfast. Add to this the waffle station, tons of cut fruits, smoothies, curry, breads, cheese the whole Shabang, 100% fresh and tasty.

Our room was amazing, a huge round tub, great soaps and products, smart TVs, Bose music systems, big balcony, super comfortable bed and sofa bed, Nespresso machine and super attentive room service and house keeping. There are apartments with kitchens as well and these could be a good option if you fancy cooking a bit, there is a small Mini Store on site that has plenty of basics.

There seems to be pools all over the place from kids only paddling pools to deeper and bigger pools to hang around and chill. Really great choice of outside space to choose from.

Kids play area. This is a super little place, it is open all day and you can drop the kids off and they will have a whale of of time, our kids loved it.

WiFi is very good and the great thing is you log in once and that is it. No need for changing passwords out of your room at other locations of the resort.

All the pools have plenty of guards and there is no shortage of staff to help you.

The beach is good with plenty of water sports, but there are so many pools we recommend you stick to these.

Great Spa, shops, pharmacy, barbers, salon, art gallery and ATM facilities, the grounds are also green and lush.

The Sofitel Palm really is a fantastic place for families and couples alike. 10/10 but please sort the F&B prices out a bit.
