Barry Morell, "Una Furtiva Lagrima"

Barry Morell (1927 -- 2003) was an American operatic tenor, associated principally with the Italian and French repertoire. His New York City Opera debut was in 1955 (Butterfly) and Met debut in 58, also Butterfly. Morell sang internationally and was generally well received abroad. While he did sing heavier roles later in his career, I believe it fair to say that the lighter repertoire, such as this Elixir of Love, showed him to greater advantage.
