Republican House and Senate Members Will Object to Democracy/Biden's Electoral College Win

Republicans in both the House and Senate have announced they will object to the electoral college vote count. In a very real sense, these politicians are objecting to democracy itself and trying to undermine the will of the American voters. Of course, their objections are symbolic and will not prevent Joe Biden from being declared the winer and sworn in as the 46th president of the United States. Indeed, this is nothing more than an unpatriotic attempt by characters like Josh Hawley, Ted Cruz and others to curry favor with Trump's base. We need to ask ourselves the following question: if these politicians are willing to stand against democracy in a desperate attempt to obtain/acquire power, what else are they willing to do?

And how should the American people respond to these attempts to undermine democracy? For a change, how about we try accountability?
