considered a highly invasive and destructive pest species. Shooting, trapping, poisoning
and other eradication / control methods are essential in lessening the impact possums
have on our native and endangered flora and fauna.

Tonight's ethical shooting efforts remains one of the most important steps towards the government's ambitious goal to rid New Zealand of its most damaging introduced predators by 2050.
