Hunting Chamois & Tahr (Film 4) | South Westland, New Zealand

A four day trip into the South Westland mountains, New Zealand. Checking out a new area and looking for a mid-winter chamois skin for Nick's 10" buck. While we saw plenty of large bulls, the fine weather meant that they were too high up for us to reach. We settled for a representative chamois buck, from which we harvested the skin and meat.

On this trip we used a Sako Finnlight chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum with a Leupold VX5 HD 3-15x56. The shot was taken at 220 yards.
