C Raja Mohan on How Narendra Modi Changed the Image of India
For a long time, the world has known India as a non-aligned country that prefers not to make choices, does nothing important and plays no role in international politics. According to C Raja Mohan, Director, Institute of South Asian Studies, National University of Singapore, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi managed to change this image and make India a great world power. “He has brought pragmatism – not about moral politic, but that India must be a power that makes a difference and makes international contributions,” he suggests.
