WKU QB Bailey Zappe Breaks Record for Most TD Passes in a Season (61)

During the college football game between Western Kentucky and App State, WKU quarterback Bailey Zappe broke the record for most passing touchdowns in a season in college football history when he threw his 61st touchdown pass of the season in the third quarter. Former LSU quarterback Joe Burrow was the previous record holder with 60 touchdowns. Western Kentucky has a 45-31 lead over App State in the third quarter of the 2021 Boca Raton Bowl.
