DIY Seamless Background Protective Tube Hack for Photographers

When traveling with 53” seamless background paper rolls on a photo shoot, some photographers may find it can be quite difficult to keep these rolls protected. I searched for a suitable option to protect my 53” seamless paper rolls when shooting on-location, and wanted something that would be both professional looking and also provide an ample amount of protection.

My solution was a simple 4” diameter PVC pipe, custom cut to length (54” length) and finished off with two rubber end caps.

This video may hopefully provide photographers with an easy protective solution, when transporting 43” seamless backgrounds when shooting headshots or portraits on-location.
