PART 3 OF 5: Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing with you all what I hope will be fun for you—a little twist on the song “Animal”!

On every music streaming platform, I received a recap of 2025. On every single platform, my number one song for 2025 is “Animal”. I don’t even know how much time altogether that I listened to this song, but it seems to certainly be my autopilot favorite.

When I bought Hysteria on cassette on my 12th birthday, 3 August 1987 (the same date as the album’s release), “Animal”, “Armageddon It” and “Run Riot” immediately became favorites for me. But then I heard “Hysteria”, and my body was covered with goosebumps. I’d like to think that “Hysteria” is my ultimate favorite song, but I tend to go right straight to the upbeat songs on a daily basis.

“Animal” was released as a single from the Hysteria album in the US on 25 September 1987, and it was written by Joe, Phil, Steve, Sav, and Robert John “Mutt” Lange. It has a sound to it that is timeless, and it could be released today and still be a massive hit!
