The Perfect Push-Up | Form Tips and Mistakes

Many people get stuck on performing push-ups in a way that doesn't actually build them strength.

Doing push-ups this way has helped my clients and I progress to the point where we can now perform handstand push-ups & planche push-ups.

CUES:
-Arms slightly wider than shoulder-width apart
-Fingers SPREAD (Don't cup your hands)
-Brace your core
-Grip the ground
-Perform SLOWLY
-Elbows come out at a 45 degree angle
-Chest gently touches the ground
-Look forward/look ahead (vs. down)

-Stack your elbow on top of your wrists (this may not apply if you have longer limbs)

BONUS TIP:
-Regress to an easier version of the movement when you're unable to perform another full push-up.
