Making myself a new EDC knife from a saw blade

In this video I will be crafting myself a new EDC (every day carry) knife from a used industrial cold cut saw blade. My research on the saw blade manufacturer website tells me the steel is 1045 or something similar.

The blade is 1/8" thick with a sabre grind and about 0.020" (0.5mm) edge thickness. The blade is hand sanded to 1500 grit and acid etched.

The handle is made from zebrawood and Peruvian walnut and has brass and black paper micarta spacers. Handle pins are 1/8" brass pins with two 1/4" mosaic pins and a 1/4" brass lanyard tube. The spine of the handle has filework done in an hourglass pattern.

The making of the sheath has not been done yet and will be my next video upload. Thanks for watching!

Please leave any suggestions or comments about how I can improve my videos! I'm still new at this so things will change rapidly in the first little bit! Thank you for your support! I love making knives and I believe my creations will only get better from here. 💓

Hand crafted in Canada! 🍁
