'Further investment' in Australia requires 'favourable policies'
Orica Chief Executive Sanjeev Gandhi says Orica’s “global” options and Australia’s “policies” make it more difficult for the company to invest in Australia.
Orica is the world’s biggest commercial explosives company and manufacturer of cyanide used for gold extraction.
“We’ve made a couple of major acquisitions in the last couple of years … more than one-and-a-half billion Aussie dollars that's gone overseas,” Mr Gandhi told Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood.
“If the policies are predictable, if the policies are favourable to manufacturing, there will be further investment to Australia.”
