Searching For The Lost Silver Spear Mine

This week I'm searching for a mine - the Silver Spear Mine. This was at one point the main mining operation at Cerro Gordo...and I knew nothing about it until Christmas this year.

That's when a family sent me their grandmother's journal. She was the caretaker at Cerro Gordo from 1939-1942. These are years that aren't covered in the history books up here. Inside the journal, she often referred to the "Silver Spear" mine. So this week, I decided to try to find and explore that mine...
