Vic High Country, Blue Rag Range Track. Ep 9

The Blue Rag Range track is one of Australia's iconic 4 wheel drive tracks. Set in the Victorian High Country, the track follows the ridge line along the Blue Rag Range. The highest point is the Trig Point and it seems like a climb to the top of the world with 360 degree views of the mountains in the Australian Alpine region.
Come with us as we take Ray, Mal and Deb, and the three cars on an unforgettable 4 wheel drive adventure to the very top of the Blue Rag Range.
The track is steep in a quite a few places and Mal does a great job of getting his stock Dmax right to the top with a few modifications to his side steps.

Just as a side note, Rose had trouble holding on, so a fair bit of the footage is taken from the dash cam, but we thought it important to include a lot of it for the sake of viewers who might be contemplating this trip themselves and wondering if they are willing, and able to complete the track in a standard 4WD.
We did all make it up. Mal and Deb managed to bend their side steps a little on one section but they did make it up. Mal's car was stock standard with no lift. Ray's and our car both have a 2 inch (50mm) lifty and made it up unscathed. The climbs are long and narrow and the sides of the mountains slope down from each side of the track so if you are scared of heights or worried about your car in any way then this might be a track to ignore. But if you love to go 4 wheel driving then this is a bucket list track that you really must have a go at.
