Mt Ninderry, Sunshine Coast

Col and Rose take a walk up Mount Ninderry on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. This iconic mountain is part of the volcanic chain that includes the Glasshouse Mountains.

The views from Mt Ninderry cover the entire Sunshine Coast and beyond. From the Eastern view point you can see all the way from Teewah beach near Double Island point down through Noosa, Coolum, Maroochydore, Mooloolaba to Caloundra and Bribie Island. From the Western view point you can see across to the hinterland ranges.

Mt Ninderry is truly magnificent. The walk is grade 3 but there are still some great views from the easier section of the walk. I is dog friendly as long as your dog is kept on a lead as there is plenty of wildlife there to protect.

If you are reasonably fit the walk is a little challenging with many steps made of local mountain rocks. the views are absolutely staggering and the walk is very worthwhile if you are looking for somethings to do to brighten your day and get some fresh air and exercise.
