Amid Johnny Depp and Amber Heard‘s defamation trial, celebrities have been keeping an eye on the court proceedings and they have not been afraid to share their opinions. Drew Barrymore made headlines after joking about the legal drama during her talk show. “It’s, like, one layer of crazy, it’s a seven-layer dip of insanity. I know that these are two people’s real lives and I know what it’s like to have your life put out in public,” the 50 First Dates star, 47, said about the live-streamed trial in April. “I understand all the feelings, but they are actually offering up this information.” After receiving criticism on social media, however, the California native apologized to her followers for trying to add humor to the conversation.

Amber Heard has seemingly been caught in a lie after her lawyer Elaine Bredehoft claimed the actress used a makeup product by Milani Cosmetics to cover up the bruises that Johnny Depp allegedly gave her. The only problem with the claim is that Milani's All In One Correcting Kit was not launched until 2017, as explained by the brand itself. Milani Cosmetics posted a TikTok video on Friday explaining that the makeup kit displayed by Heard's lawyer would not have been available before 2017, stressing that the alleged abuse would have occurred any time from 2012 to 2016. So, there is a white lie. No explanation has been made by Amber Heard after being made clear by the brand itself that she was lying when she said she has been hiding her bruises using their product.

Bill Burr expressed vocal support for Johnny Depp during the most recent episode of his ‘Monday Morning Podcast’. He said I’m too big a Johnny Depp fan to watch [the trial]. I love that guy and I just — I don’t want to hear all these personal details and shit, from what I’ve seen the guy is fucking destroying. And what’s great about this, is if he really does expose this woman for lying. I’m wondering if all these people that, you know, just accepted her lies about him if they’re going to apologize somehow.” Burr noted that people have “publicly trashed” Depp and said “it’d be nice if they publicly apologized and said, ‘Maybe next time we won’t jump to conclusions.'” Burr further added, “It really does amaze me how the pendulum just does not seem to swing the other way, All of these women’s groups that when they see a woman that lies like this, which really hurts their position because there are women out there that are in a relationship that this woman evidently lied and claimed that she was in. And for someone to go out and lie about it, it hurts the people that are actually in it! You would think they would cover this.” Burr has been one of a few celebrities who have been vocal when it comes to speaking out for Johnny Depp.
