What Really Happened To Yogscast?

For the better part of a decade Yogscast was a juggernaut in the Minecraft sphere of online entertainment! Spawning many fond memories from Yogcasts Shadow of Israphel to Jaffa Factory! Though today when you look at their channel, to some OG fans it may seem like Yogscast is a shadow of its former self....

Let's explore this!

Founded in 2008, two friends Simon Lane and Lewis Brindley never could have imagined the staying power their World of Warcraft themed channel could have in the online world around them! Though it was when the rising super power Minecraft and these two young lads aspirations clashed, when something truly amazing happened! I have three words for you, Shadows of Israphel! A series that truly lit the fire under this channels behind! While being one of their most nostalgic series, it has also been one of their most controversial! All of a sudden this series vanished from the youtube feed! Why did Shadow of Israphel end and why have they shifted away from the game that ultimately brought them to early heights? So why did yogscast stop playing Minecraft? We will discuss this in the video....

Truly it was their expansion into all forms of entertainment that made them the online super power they have become! Their business endeavors are even more impressive, from recently partnering with Rooster Teeth, to becoming their own Multi Channel Network....but not everything they did was met with praise. Remember, Yogventures???? (this will also be discussed in depth)

Regardless of their business pitfalls, it was truly the personalities that drew the crowds, but for one founding member Simon Lane, there would be some struggles along the way! A string of several hiatus has also brought doubt onto the channel, but it wasn't until 2019 when three former employees would really ruffle the feathers of the community! (Turps, Sjin and Caff)
