The Uni Killer? | How to Tie the best fishing knot - Improved Uni Knot ( Fish N Fool ). This video will teach you how to tie the strongest fishing knot out there for braided line, the Improved Uni Knot (also known as the Fish N Fool knot or the modified Uni knot). While the strongest for braid, this knot is also super strong for other line types and is often compared to some of the other strongest fishing knots out there such as the Palomar Knot, the original Uni Knot, the San Diego Jam Knot, the Pitzen Knot, the Trilene Knot, the Centauri Knot, or even Snell knots, which are roughly the terminal tackle equivalents of the strongest line-to-line connections like the FG Knot, SG Knot, Double Uni Knot, Albright Knot, or Alberto Knot! This knot is great for connecting terminal tackle like a hook, swivel, or weight to your leader line, and can be used for braid, monofilament (mono), or fluorocarbon (fluoro) fishing line. So if you want to learn how to tie on a hook with one of the strongest fishing knots out there, this video will show you the tricks to tie it quickly and effectively!

This knot is commonly used on the terminal end of paternoster rigs, double drop rigs, chicken rigs, pompano rigs, fish-finder or carolina rigs, and several others. This is one of the most widely used fishing knots which is easy/fast to tie and can be used to catch anything from trout, perch, panfish, bluegill, largemouth or smallmouth bass, northern pike, walleye, muskie, salmon, red snapper, mahi mahi, shark, tuna, snook, grouper, red and black drum, flounder, sheepshead, trigger fish, mackerel... basically anything you catch with a hook can be caught using this knot! It can be used in saltwater fishing, whether offshore in the ocean or inshore fishing, or can be used in lakes, rivers, or even ice fishing! Subscribe for more knots and tips, and thanks for watching! Quick disclaimer: This is but one of many methods to successfully tie this knot, and it happens to be the best one I have found! I hope it works equally well for you, but if it doesn't, or if you have found something else that works better, I encourage you to stick to what works for you! I would always recommend practicing knots and testing their strength yourself to ensure you are comfortable with how they work, and to avoid flinging lures into the ocean on a failed knot (ask me how I know!). Knots take practice, so make sure you're comfortable with whatever you're tying prior to trusting it with your gear! If you have any questions about the knot, please post them below and I will do my best to answer them. I hope this is helpful, and tight lines! #4k #hook #knot #knots #fishing #how
