Linking discovery science and medicine to drive innovation and health
The MRC London Institute of Medical Sciences (LMS) is a biomedical research institute where scientists and clinicians collaborate to advance the understanding of biology and its application to medicine.
Researchers at LMS aim to address major health challenges such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease and cancer; investigate the interplay between genes and environment; and understand the molecular basis of disease, development and ageing.
In order to pursue world-leading discovery science, the LMS places an emphasis on interdisciplinary approaches through collaborations with colleagues working in engineering, natural sciences and medicine.
During her seminar, Professor Petra Hajkova gives insights into the world-leading research taking place at LMS and will highlight some of the exciting research taking place there.
