The MOMENT When LEBRON Knew He Doesn't Have Enough...

Just look at this image. Lebron James going up against 4 defenders in a heroic attempt to save the season. James decided to take the hard way and instead of waiving the white flag, he went all out bulldozing through everyone in the paint.
Right from the start look at his teammates as they clear out that entire side for him to go 1 on 1 against Gordon and blow by him for the layup inside.
In fact James was living in the paint for the entire first half as he constantly put the pressure on the Nuggets defenders and got the best of them either by bullying a smaller guy, or just flying past Jokic.
But this took its toll as we saw the guy who we thought was superhuman for 20 years, finally starting to break down and show us the limits of his power.
And because of that we saw a completely different Lebron at the end of the game. Let me show you.
Watch what happens here. James is absolutely hounding Jamal Murray all over the court. The Nuggets guard cannot even look at the basket. This phenomenal defensive sequence ends with a shot clock violation but you see the price that he pays for it.
Lebron is down with hands on his knees trying to catch his breath. Even going down the floor you see that he’s not 100% for this offensive possession and as the Lakers attack he is still bent down almost not even following the play. As the ball finds him this is a good look but James quickly passes out of it as it’s clear that he needs more time to recover.
Well, this in a nutshell is the definition of father time being undefeated. You’re still able to do great things on the court, but it takes a lot of time to recover and be able to do it again, so you do it less often. Not as effective.
You see, Lebron still attacked in the second half, right here again blowing past Gordon.
And on this possession he still exploited the mismatch with Murray right here taking him all the way down to the bucket and scoring.
And using his advantage against Jokic as well on this drive zooming past Nikola.
But thing is, every time he did it, it took more and more out of him.
So these 4 examples were all of his made baskets in the second half.
The rest of the way it was either off target, or settling for a jumper when he shouldn’t have, or straight up not even being involved in the play because he was too tired.
James had 31, thirty one points in the first- the most he’s ever had in a half in a playoff game. This is incredible at any age let alone at the end of his career. But it caught up to him and followed it with only 9 when it mattered the most.
The Nuggets were clearly the better team and all credit goes to them for the incredible style of play that’s unlike any team in the league. They absolutely deserve to be in the finals, and despite Lebron’s best efforts, leaving everything he had on the court, he couldn’t stop this.
We’ll focus on Denver in the days to come before the finals. In this video I wanted to illustrate the dramatic moment that happens for every superstar as they get older. The game where they realize that even their best isn’t good enough anymore.
For the Lakers to win a championship I believe that Lebron should be the second best player at this stage. Let me know if you agree and support me by buying this sweet T-shirt in the link below. Peace out.
