Dizzy Fingers - Chet Atkins arrangement - Gary Deacon

Dizzy Fingers was composed by Zez Confrey in 1923.

I performed on a 1968 Sadao Yairi flamenco guitar and included the composition for my 1991 'Six String Things' album which turned out to be quite a major recording project produced by Dave Williams and recorded by Clive Gaunt.

It was a privilege to work with an A team of studio musicians including Mike Campbell, Darryl Andrews (both of whom also contributed great arrangements), Andrew Lilley, Richard Pickett and key members of the Cape Town Symphony Orchestra.

Nominated in 1991 for an Artes Award, the album consists of 12 titles (including 6 original compositions) and remains a major highlight of my career as a musician.
