Is Latin America part of the Western World? When looking at the history and modern cultures found in Latin America, there are definitely arguments for how some Latinos have a deeper connection to the West than even US Americans, however it greatly depends on who you talk to as some individuals may take great offense to being compared to the modern West since Latin America has branched off with heavy indigenous influence to arguably become an independent civilization in its own right. Here is my highly subjective cartographic interpretation of westernization in Latin America based on the criteria outlined in this short.
