Latin American Countries that no Longer Exist

There are Latin American countries that no longer exist. It's a pretty well known fact that countries come and go, and in the Americas we've had many countries pop up since the European colonial era; some of which have evolved into some of the most distinguished nations the world has ever known, others, not so much.
