The Rise & Fall of the Slavic Manchurian Community

In preparation for an upcoming video regarding Manchuria and the Russian Far East, let's look at the former Slavic community in Northeast China/Chinese Manchuria. Although this community made up of Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians and other citizens of the Russian Empire/Soviet Union once numbered in the hundreds of thousands, during and after WWII they were reduced to a fraction of their former numerical strength due to a variety of reasons we'll look at in the next video.
