We hear the word "superfood" used to describe a lot of different food items. Most of the time, the food doesn't actually live up to its name. I often avoid using the word superfood, but sometimes certain foods do in fact stick out enough to deserve such a moniker. One popular vegetable is stepping up to the plate and claiming the name now!
