Uplifting 37-Minute Hatha Yoga: Full Class for Sadness Relief and Emotional Balance

At some point, we all experience sadness, whether it's a mild case of the blues or more intense emotions stemming from challenging circumstances. These feelings can impact our daily lives by manifesting in our bodies.

Practicing this 37-minute yoga flow regularly can help stabilize your mood, uplift your spirits, and provide a no-impact fitness routine. It's an excellent stress and PMS buster, and with Andrea as your guide, you'll move through a sequence of twists, backbends, standing postures, and pranayama to increase endorphins, stimulate blood flow, and sharpen your focus for the day ahead. The final relaxation combines Buddhist meditation to cultivate perseverance and positive thinking when it's hard to find it within yourself. Duration: 41 minutes.

Note: You will need a small, smooth stone that fits in your palm for the final relaxation, so choose one before beginning your practice.

Level: Beginner-Intermediate to Advanced

Benefits: Soothes anxiety, uplifts mood, stabilizes emotions, reduces PMS symptoms, enhances perspective and clarity, boosts self-esteem, improves posture, and opens shoulders, hip flexors, and the heart chakra.

Contraindications: If you have very low blood pressure, avoid overexerting yourself during the pranayama segment. Modify poses if you experience shoulder or lower back pain. Consult your physician before starting any treatment program if you have concerns about anxiety or depression.
