The UAE’s Al Dhafra World’s Largest Solar Power Plant
The UAE has opened the world’s largest solar power plant, 38 kilometers south of Abu Dhabi. It covers over 20 square kilometers and features 4 million solar panels with a capacity of 2 gigawatts, providing energy for 200,000 households and eliminating 2.4 million tons of CO2 emissions every year. The project, which was developed by Masdar along with international companies, is a model for renewable energy in the Middle East.
