Project Voyager UE5 Melee Combat and AI Test

Lots of progress, finally with custom character mesh and armor, improved animations, melee controls, dealing damage to and from player and bugs, dynamic navmesh, custom particles, death animations for the bugs, and more.

Definitely need UI and HUD to show health, but I'm working on ranged combat first.

It's great to be on the release version of Unreal 5.0, which solved a number of bugs from the old git version, and got my framerate back where it belongs! Our blockchain integration tests have all succeeded as well, so it looks like Project Voyager is actually going to happen. Granted it's fundamentally a crafting and exploration game, but you gotta have good combat, right?

Hmm, we should probably make a website, and a Twitter, and a Discord soon.
