Project Voyager UE5 Fluid particles and Ranged Combat Test

Unreal Engine 5 just made their Niagara fluid particles plug-in available, so I had to try it out!

The volumetric fluids looks gorgeous, but cause instant FPS lag and can even crash the game due to "timeout detection." So I compromised and tweaked some of the 2D fluids, which seem to perform well until there are maybe a dozen on screen at once.

Oh, and there's also Ranged Combat! Aiming down the sights, projectile physics, and an opportunity to add all kinds of particles and explosions.

This may also be the first video with player and NPC health bars, combat text, and a kind of buggy "hose" connecting the backpack to the Torch weapon

Project Voyager is a pre-alpha prototype for a future online multiplayer world, build around the HIVE blockchain. I promise to set up a Twitter and Discord some day soon. lol
