The Proposal for a Russia-USA Tunnel

There is a proposal to build a tunnel across the Bering Strait, uniting Russia and the US. It would stretch 85 kilometers across the Diomede islands, providing the first physical link between Asia and North America, boosting economic activity, trade and cooperation. However, it would require billions in additional infrastructure, Russia and the US use different rail gauges and the current political landscape is not ideal.
