4G Pixhawk Drone Remote Control Instructions in description
One of the Aeronaughties subscribers was kind enough to send me this below, these are the steps he made to make the 4G connection work, it may not work for you because of hardware differences but it should certainly help you along
Direct cut/paste from the subscriber:
setup 4G on Raspberry pi
Connect to internet
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
INSTALLATION OF MAVPROXY ON RPI
sudo apt-get install python3-dev python3-opencv python3-wxgtk4.0 python3-pip python3-matplotlib python3-lxml python3-pygame
pip3 install PyYAML mavproxy --user
echo 'export PATH="$PATH:$HOME/.local/bin"' ~/.bashrc
INSTALL ZERO TIER ON RPI
curl -s https://install.zerotier.com | sudo bash
sudo apt update
sudo apt install -y zerotier-one
CONNECT RPI TO ZEROTIER
sudo zerotier-cli join "NETWORK ID"
sudo zerotier-cli listnetworks
GO TO ZEROTIER'S DASHBOARD AND ACCEPT CONNEXION
CONNECT THE GROUND STATION TO ZERO TIER
CONNECT RPI TO PIXHAWK
sudo raspi-config
SELECT SERIAL PORT
SHELL (NO)
SERIAL(YES)
sudo nano /boot/config.txt
add at the end --- dtoverlay=disable-bt
sudo reboot
------ON THE GROUND STATION------
USE QGROUND OR MISSION PLANNER
GO INTO PARAMETRES
TELEM 1 = TELEMETRY MODULE
TELEM 2 = RASPBERRY PI
GO INTO SERIAL (on qground)
CATCH BAUDERATE OF RASPBERRY PI (TELEM2)
------SUR LA RPI------
LAUCH CONNEXION BEETWEEN RPI AND TELEMETRY
mavproxy.py --master=/dev/ttyAMA0 --baudrate "BAUDERATE OF TELEM2 ON QGROUND" (test local)
mavproxy.py --master=/dev/ttyAMA0 --baudrate "BAUDERATE OF TELEM2 ON QGROUND" --out "IP ADRESS OF GROUNDSTATION REGISTER ON ZEROTIER":14550
-----ON QGROUND CONNECT RPI------
GO TO COMM LINK
TYPE: UDP
select high latency if you have a bad internet connexion
TARGET HOSTS: "IP ADRESS OF RPI REGISTER ON ZERO TIER"
PORT:14550
