Pacific Rim - Settling Down In The Last Shatterdome

After having a conversation with Raleigh in his new room, Mako returns to hers in front of Raleigh's. Mako by a coincidence begins to witness Raleigh being topless as he rubs his face with a towel and he noticed that Mako is indulging into him. Mako got alerted and quickly shuts her door so that she doesn't make herself look stupid. Even though she still continued to see him through the peak hole of her door.

But Raleigh already closes his door. Mako had a thought as the next morning, she informs Stacker that the candidates that she picked for Raleigh are now open to commencing. She wanted to add by telling Stacker of something that she's always asked Stacker about getting into a Jaeger and this time, she would want to sync with Raleigh as she strongly believe that this could be her call to finally avenge her parents by defeating the Kaiju at her hands for what they did to her parents.

But Stacker still grounds her in the Shatterdome as a technician. Not able to go out there to combat a Kaiju. Then, we see Raleigh entering the alley of the Shatterdome's cafeteria where crews of the remaining Jaegers have their meals. Herc, one of The Marshalls and the Australian pilots, requests Raleigh to sit with them at their table. Since Raleigh's Gypsy team is not that big after it's team has been vanquished off the Jaeger program.

Herc introduced Raleigh to his son, Chuck. A cocky hotshot who's meal is not for a washed up pilot like Raleigh. Straight away, Raleigh got disrespected by Chuck as he sees Raleigh as one of the people who tears down the Jaeger program. And he informs Raleigh that he will not tolerate strong nuisance from Raleigh. Chuck leaves with his bulldog, Max. And exits the cafeteria.

Herc, who's not proud of his son's behaviour towards imperfection people, tells Raleigh of the times where it's either a person will give him sympathy or physically kick his butt. Raleigh in return, replies by knowing which one to throw at Chuck if there's ever a moment to do so.
